A Family Built Around One Idea

Filtration usually fails at the connection, not the media. Tubing gets cut and re-cut, barbs crack, tape and clamps creep open, and every re-assembly is a new leak waiting to happen. The Hynec Inline Capsule Filter family was designed to end that cycle: every capsule in the family speaks the same luer language, on both ends, out of the box.
Each capsule pairs a translucent polypropylene housing with a depth filter media — HDPE or melt-blown PP, matched to the grade — and carries a molded flow arrow plus printed operating limits right on the body. Push the tubing on, click the luer joints together, and the line is running. When a capsule loads up, a quarter turn swaps in a fresh one. No clamps. No cutting. No tools.
From the palm-sized workhorse to the slim capsule at the end of a pen, there is a Hynec filter sized for the job — and they all share the same connection family.

The Family, Line by Line

1. Luer Lock Inline Capsule Filter — 0.22 µm PP Membrane, 5 Pack

The polishing grade. A 0.22 micron PP depth membrane for final clarification of aqueous solutions — the last step before a fill, a test or a build.👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HP1KYZMJ

2. Luer Lock Inline Capsule Filter — 5 µm HDPE, 6 Pack + 12 Adapters

The high-capacity coarse grade. Six capsules and twelve luer-to-barb adapters for 4 mm tubing — enough to run several positions in a manifold with a spare on the bench. The everyday prefilter for sediment, rust and suspended particles.👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HP9MYZGH

3. Luer Lock Inline Capsule Filter — 5 µm / 70 µm HDPE, 5 Pack + 10 Adapters

The compact two-grade set. Choose 5 micron to polish a line, or 70 micron as a coarse guard that takes the sand and grit before they reach a finer stage — together, a natural two-stage line in one listing.👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HPDMYFQ5

4. Inline Column Filter — Melt-Blown PP Core, 5 µm, 5 Pack (1/8" – 3.2 mm)

The compact economy capsule. A melt-blown PP fiber core in a chemical-resistant housing, sized for 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) tubing — a precision fluid component proven in inkjet supply lines and lab benches.👉 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYWLRW2Q

Why Depth Media, and Why HDPE

A thin surface membrane clogs the moment a cake forms on its face. Depth media is different: particles are captured through the thickness of the media, so a Hynec capsule keeps drinking sediment long after a surface filter would have stalled. The translucent housing makes that visible — you can watch the loading build and plan the swap instead of guessing.
Every housing is marked with a flow direction arrow and its pressure and temperature limits, so a line can be planned against real numbers rather than trial and error.

Built for Real Working Lives

Laboratories & universities — sample prefiltration, solvent and buffer polishing, teaching rigs that get rebuilt weekly. Standard luer interfaces mean components from any compliant brand mate the first time.
Makers & industry — inkjet and printing fluid supply, coolant and rinse loops, fuel and hobby fluid lines. The 1/8" column filter was born on print beds; the capsule family grew from it.
Home builders — aquarium and pond polishing, hydroponic nutrient lines, homebrew and wine transfers. Clean filtration without laboratory pricing.

One Connection Family, Endless Combinations

Because every Hynec capsule speaks luer, the filters combine freely with the rest of the Hynec fluid connection range — luer fittings, stopcocks, caps, bulkhead connectors and tubing adapters. A 70 micron guard ahead of a 5 micron capsule, a 5 micron capsule ahead of a 0.22 micron polish: build the two-stage line your fluid actually needs, with parts that were designed to work together from day one.
