Product Introduction
- Six inline capsule filters, each supplied with two male luer lock to 4 mm hose barb adapters, so six filters and twelve adapters arrive ready for syringe, pump or gravity-fed lines
- 5 micron HDPE filter media inside a polypropylene housing traps sediment, rust and suspended particles, making it the prefilter stage ahead of a 0.45 um or 0.22 um capsule filter
- Female luer lock ports on both ends mate fingertight with syringes, peristaltic pumps, three-way stopcocks and bulkhead fittings, with no clamps, no tubing cuts and no tools
- Translucent body shows loading at a glance and carries a molded flow arrow; check the pressure and temperature limits printed on the housing before plumbing the line
- Suits aquarium and pond water polishing, hydroponic nutrient lines, homebrew and wine transfer, plus laboratory sample prefiltration and workshop rinse loops
Product Description:
Coarse stage, longer service life.
The Hynec 5 micron inline capsule filter is the first stage of a two-stage filtration line. It takes out sediment, rust and suspended solids ahead of a finer 0.45 um or 0.22 um capsule filter, so the fine stage lasts longer. Each capsule carries a female luer lock port on both ends and connects fingertight to syringes, peristaltic pumps, three-way stopcocks and bulkhead fittings built to the luer conical standard.
Six filters, twelve adapters.
Every capsule ships with two male luer lock to hose barb adapters for soft tubing with a 4 mm outer diameter, one for each end. This listing carries six of those sets: six inline filters and twelve adapters, enough for several positions in a manifold and a spare on the bench.
HDPE media in a PP housing.
Inside the translucent polypropylene housing sits an HDPE filter media rated at 5 micron. HDPE holds particles through its depth, so it carries more sediment than a thin surface membrane before the flow drops off, and the clear body lets you watch the loading build. A flow arrow and the operating limits are printed on the housing, so the line can be planned against real numbers.
Where it earns its place.
Typical jobs include aquarium and pond water polishing, hydroponic nutrient solution lines, homebrew and wine transfer, laboratory sample prefiltration, and coolant or rinse loops in a workshop. When a capsule loads up, twist it off and fit the spare; the luer joints sit at the same height, so no tubing has to be cut again.
One connection family.
The 5 micron grade complements the finer Hynec capsule grades, and every part shares the same luer interface, so capsules, barb adapters, stopcocks, caps and bulkhead fittings from the family can be combined freely.
